Junior Buyer Job Description The temporary Junior Buyer is responsible for generating and following up on vendor quotes and purchase orders, working closely with the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Inventory departments. Responsibilities Generate and follow up on vendor quotes and purchase orders for assemblies and raw material/metal supplies. Maintain standard pricing in the ERP system (Visual, a plus). Procure all materials for custom assemblies and raw material/metal supplies. Expedite purchased materials as required, ensuring timely delivery. Negotiate and maintain relationships with current vendors. Develop new sources to support business needs. Return and/or replace purchased materials not meeting specifications and standards. Maintain Vendor and Inventory masters in the ERP system. Essential Skills Experience in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management within the manufacturing industry. Knowledge of ERP systems, with Visual ERP system knowledge as a plus. Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, databases, and MRP/ERP systems.
