Job Description:
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Global Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security, and will be part of the direct procurement team that supports the Lunar Permanence business unit (~20 buyers). Lunar Permanence develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. This role will support all Lunar programs, but will focus on supporting sourcing for the NASA Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. Our Buyer II will be identifying potential sources & preparing and issuing competitive Requests for Quote, writing price reasonableness determinations / price analyses in support of supplier quotes (when required), and can support negotiations of all types (when required). Training for this position will be both on-site and virtual with experienced buyers, commodity managers, and leadership. Training will focus on FAR requirements, systems (Costpoint, Exostar, Windchill, SharePoint, Tableau, JIRA), and source identification & selection.
Qualifications:
Interprets and applies company, policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards and U.S. government regulations, i.e., FAR, DFAR, SOX Compliance Ensure timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department. Ability to write price reasonableness determinations / price analyses of all types per FAR requirements Experience supporting negotiations of all types, including, but not limited to, pricing, terms and conditions, FAR / customer contract flow downs, and schedule Working understanding of AS9100 standards Knowledge of Engineering Data such as specifications, drawings, & statements of work Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload
