Our client, a prominent and growing Perfume manufacturing company in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is looking for a dedicated Purchasing Agent to join their team. In this role, you will manage the procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost-effective purchases while maintaining the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or chemical manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Relationship Management:

Establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors, evaluating them based on price, reliability, and service history.

Negotiation:

Negotiate discounts, volume pricing, and favorable terms with vendors to maximize cost savings.

Procurement Documentation:

Ensure all purchasing documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with organizational guidelines, including reasonable terms and conditions.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods, maintaining optimal supply levels to support manufacturing processes.

Shipping Coordination:

Interact with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve shipping discrepancies, and ensure timely receipt of materials.

Cost Analysis:

Conduct cost analyses to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies that are both innovative and cost-effective.

Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and improve procurement strategies, ensuring the best value and efficiency in purchasing processes.

Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure compliance with internal procedures and maintain accurate records, including pricing history and vendor performance.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in purchasing and planning within a manufacturing or distribution environment, preferably in the , , or chemical industries.

Skills:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel. Knowledge and experience with contract review and negotiation. Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
