This position will assist in the management and compliance of the MaintenX Vendor Network. The Vendor Specialist will be analyzing internal and external information to validate that all vendors are within MaintenX compliance guidelines. This position will report to the Director of Vendor Relations. At MaintenX, our customers rely on us to keep their business running, as a Vendor Specialist you are an integral part of ensuring that we meet and exceed this expectation. In this support role, the Vendor Specialist will be trusted to use their experience and knowledge to research, recruit, and retain our MaintenX vendors.
Job Responsibilities:
Develops professional relationships with existing and potential technicians and vendors both verbally and via email Utilizes internet search engines and databases to research, obtain and identify new vendors throughout the US and Puerto Rico Identifies creative strategies for onboarding vendors in difficult coverage areas Leads negotiations with vendors to secure consistent and competitive pricing Works with vendors to make sure vendors are fully compliant and validate they stay compliant with their documents (i.e. Certificate of Insurance and W9’s) Responsible for communicating with vendors to successfully resolve and manage conflicts relating to compliance documentation issues Creates trade coverage, vendor activity, profitability, and/or other reports as needed Utilizes Mapping Software to create vendor coverage maps for service team usage and for identifying areas lacking in vendor coverage Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Vendor Specialist A successful candidate for the role of Vendor Specialist is highly motivated, personable and is able to creatively solve problems. This position requires a professional self-starter willing to build strategic partnerships with our suppliers and vendors. Additional requirements of the
Vendor Specialist:
High school diploma or equivalent One or more years of experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment requiring heavy telephone and e-mail interaction Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in Internet Searching Ability to pass a background check, drug screen This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
