We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist, who is ready to jump in and hit the ground running. Responsibilities:

High level of attention to cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking and forecasting Develop and execute purchasing strategies relating to product category Form partnership relationships with existing and new suppliers Assess, manage, and mitigate risks of supply outages Setting, adjusting and managing of appropriate par levels Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers Clearly communicate key information between suppliers, and internal stakeholders/departments Follow up on all details surrounding vendor sourcing, onboarding, and ongoing strategic initiatives to ensure key dates and targets are met for products and services. Manage/direct vendor inventories and work in process to ensure inventory is available and maintained to the optimum level to support on time new store openings. Refines and develops improvement processes to simplify processes and reduce cost Purchasing for Kava Bar locations, BBCO Brewery & Fulfillment center Purchasing for New Openings/Fulfilling New Opening Orders Purchasing/Sourcing Apparel, Merch, Branded Product, Glassware etc. Review past data using MRP and establish inventory needs Manage

MRP – TOAST

POS and Katana Maximize workflow with computer applications Ensure product remains high-quality Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses. Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews and analysis to assess their quality. Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests. Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit the company. Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services. Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping.

PTO REQUIREMENTS

Min 5 years of category management, procurement, or purchasing experience. Experience with restaurants/ food industry preferred. Bachelor’s Degree / MBA / Technical degree preferred CPM or CPSM preferred Skilled in change adoption, change management, and resource assessment Ability to work independently. Energetic and self-motivated MUST be collaborative in ideas and approach in sourcing and working successfully as part of a team. Experience influencing others to voluntarily adopt Commodity Management practices MUST have strong analytical and financial skills Strong oral and written communication Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Project, and Excel MUST have MRP Software experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. MUST be well organized, task oriented and a critical thinker. Proficiency with standard software tools like Windows and MS Office applications, MRP, POS, Google Workplace a must. Proficiency with Shopify, Faire Wholesale, and Amazon, Desired. MUST have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Excellent customer service skills. Leadership experience. Resourcefulness, dependability, and proactiveness.
