This critical role will be instrumental in expanding our truck acquisition capabilities across the US, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost optimization. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic truck sourcing strategies to support Billor’s growth and fleet expansion objectives. Prospect, evaluate, and qualify new truck suppliers across the United States, including conducting technical visits and comprehensive evaluations. Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, pricing benchmarks, and opportunities for cost reduction within the truck procurement landscape. Lead negotiations for Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contracts with new and existing suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, quality standards, and compliance. Manage supplier relationships, track performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Maintenance, Operations, and Finance, to ensure alignment on truck specifications and delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, specifically with a focus on vehicles, heavy equipment, or the automotive industry. Proven experience in supplier identification, qualification, and relationship management. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms and contracts. Demonstrated ability to conduct market analysis and identify cost optimization opportunities. Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Willingness to travel for supplier visits and evaluations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the trucking or logistics industry. Familiarity with US vehicle regulations and procurement best practices. Experience with financial modeling for procurement decisions.
