Job Description:

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for placing orders, monitoring the supply process, communicating with vendors, notifying the ships, spas and resorts of delivery details and resolving discrepancies . Essential Functions Manage the cycle and emergency stock orders process from requisition of purchase order to delivery to vessels. Manage vendor performance by P.O. Manage the sourcing of out-of-stock items and substitution options upon request from the Manager. Update Purchase and Transfer Orders in Epicor to reflect short shipments from vendors and warehouse. Communicate stock delivery notifications to all vessels. Sourcing projects as designated by the Manager. Communicate with spa managers to resolve all open P.O.’s within the smart system. Timely review Past Due Report received from warehouse and update with required information. Work closely with the Inventory Manager in assisting in quarterly review and clarification of all P.O.’s. Receives guidance with respect to general objectives; in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements (

  • desirable) Education/Training (or equivalent): H.S. Diploma College Degree
  • AA Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Handle multiple projects simutaneously. Style And Culture
