Raise is currently hiring a Senior Manufacturing Buyer on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities
Convert purchasing requests into purchasing orders.
Ensure suppliers acknowledge receipt of P.O. and provide delivery commitments.
Follow-up and expedite Purchase orders.
Ensure accuracy of purchase orders in the ERP system (dates, quantity, schedule delivery lines, ship-to location, supplier information, and relevant notes/comments).
Ensure all Supplier Accounts Payable do not fall into past due status and assist the Finance department by resolving invoice issues/discrepancies for timely accurate payment.
Prepare reports (open orders, IMAP invoices, rejections, etc.).
Manage and escalate parts shortages, maintain parts critical list, and lead recovery meetings/Tiger teams. Assist with inventory reduction efforts (managing purchasing order cancellations, rescheduling in/out, or PO information changes).
Support new tariff rules and clear customs shipments.
Perform assigned roles and responsibilities as part of the integrated project/program team.
Provide input affecting past due customer orders.
Lead actions to improve customer OTD.
Manage workload while complying with established department KPIs.
Provide updates as requested and collaborate with internal areas (Engineering, Repairs, Planning, Warehouse, QA, etc.).
Drive issues to closure with minimal supervision.
Resolve discrepancies with parts certifications (8130-3, CoC, EASA) to clear rejections and request RMA.
Serve as a backup when another team member is absent.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field required.
Years of experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree.
3+ years of experience requesting quotations, negotiating pricing within Delegation of Authority thresholds, issuing and ensuring accuracy of orders, GL accounts, project numbers, relevant notes, and requirements for Purchase Orders and related documentation.
3+ years of experience securing the best procurement solutions (quality, price, and timing) to meet customer needs while aligning with relevant strategy, including managing disputes throughout the process.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to drive assignments to successful conclusions.
Extensive proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
Ability to support an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) environment, which may entail non-traditional office hours (on-call, nights, weekends, etc.) and elevated stress levels.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years in purchasing or supply chain experience.
Demonstrated experience managing a wide catalog of suppliers and commodities.
SAP experience.
Aviation/Aerospace supply chain experience.
Excellent communication, organization, and influencing skills.
Extensive Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to interpret engineering parts lists, drawings, and BOM (Bill of Material).
