Position Description:
As a USM Trading Manager, you will be driving STRADE’s material sales and profitability through senior leadership engagement in the global Used Serviceable Material (USM) trader, airline and MRO community. You will leverage a deep network of trading partners to drive USM material business (particularly surplus) and ensure STRADE’s USM assets•and that of its marketplace partners•find the appropriate buyers outside the regular marketplace activities.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the full trading process•from sourcing surplus and other USM (Used Serviceable Material) to closing sales, ensuring each deal is timely, smooth, and profitable. Build strong, lasting relationships with airlines, MROs, lessors, and trading partners to create recurring opportunities and long-term value. Be the face of STRADE at major industry events and within the trading community, growing our brand and expanding our network. Optimize profitability by finding the best sourcing options, negotiating smart commercial terms, and continuously analyzing margins to improve deal efficiency. Work closely with internal teams to turn surplus material into tailored packages or targeted individual offerings that truly meet customer needs. Grow our presence in the USM trading world—especially around surplus packages, part numbers, and specific aircraft platforms. Drive revenue and margin growth by smartly assembling and selling our inventory in ways that create real customer value. Secure a reliable supply pipeline by nurturing strong relationships with trusted sellers and trading entities. Maintain consistent sales flow to support order intake and hit our financial targets. Collaborate across departments to improve packaging strategy, share trading insights, and make the entire sales process more effective.
Who You Are:
You hold a degree in business, supply chain, aviation, or a related field. You bring 7-10 years of experience in USM trading, surplus material sales, or the aviation aftermarket. You have a strong network and trusted relationships within the USM trader community. You know how to structure, negotiate, and close profitable USM deals—and you’ve done it successfully. You understand material trace requirements, airworthiness, and inventory management inside and out. You combine business acumen with strong analytical thinking to make smart, data-driven decisions. You communicate clearly and confidently, and you manage stakeholders with ease. You’re fluent in English, and if you speak additional languages, that’s a great bonus. You bring a high level of intercultural awareness and enjoy working across diverse teams and markets.
