Full Job Description Business Summary:
The Procurement Specialist compiles information and records to draw up purchase orders for the procurement of materials and services and assists in purchasing and negotiating products and services with suppliers. This position tracks the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders, follows up with internal and external stakeholders, prepares and processes purchase orders, and maintains purchasing records. The Procurement Specialist also interacts with suppliers to obtain pricing and product specifications, verifies order acknowledgements and pricing, and sets up new vendors in the ordering system
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports the supplier selection by identifying qualified vendors, issuing RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, and collecting supplier proposals. Assists in procuring and negotiating goods and services, including hardware, software, fixed assets, printed materials, and consulting services. Investigates delayed or incorrect orders and recommends or initiates appropriate corrective actions. Negotiates pricing, specifications, credits, returns, and changes to other contract terms. Coordinates with external stakeholders to schedule or expedite services and resolve supply issues or shortages. Monitors the status of requisitions, contracts, and purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment. Prepares purchase orders and ensures compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures. Maintains internal inventory levels and ensures the accuracy of associated accounts and stock quantities. Responds promptly to inquiries from internal customers and external suppliers.

Education & Experience :
Associate’s degree in business or a related field, with at least two (2) years of experience in Purchasing or Strategic Sourcing. Solid understanding of sourcing and procurement best practices, including developing and evaluating RFPs/RFQs, cost analysis, contract negotiation, and award procedures. Proficient in JD Edwards and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Project, SharePoint, and Office 365.
Hiring Range:
$21.23 – $25.90 This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.’s Annual Incentive Plan. AAA Inc. is committed to paying competitively and equitably.
