Job Description
Purchasing Agent Partners Personnel Cartersville, GA 30120 Partners Personnel is currently sourcing qualified candidates as a Purchasing Agent (bilingual) for our client located in Cartersville, GA . This position will encompass vendor relationship management, customer service, fluency in English and Spanish, working with the procedures and systems of purchasing in an industrial/manufacturing workplace. The role is being offered as a temp-to-hire and onsite daily with majority of first shift scheduling.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follow purchasing and inventory control procedures and sequence of operations within department to optimize work flow.
- Review market, price, delivery conditions and trends to determine present and future material sourcing.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships to obtain optimal delivery, quality and price.
- Negotiate as needed to obtain optimal delivery, quality and price.
- Assist with compliance procedures in C-TPAT program.
- Assist in other duties and projects assigned.
- Be aware of company’s Recycling Guidelines and Environmental Management Systems Policy (see supervisor if further explanation is needed).
Skills:
- Communication – effectively and professionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Tools suite of programs.
- Experience in using SAP interface / systems preferred.
- Experience in warehouse management (parts management) systems preferred.
- Customer service —manages difficult situations, responds promptly to internal and external customer needs and meets commitments. Exhibits strong interpersonal techniques, is positive, respectful and customer focused.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in business is preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience with proven results working in a purchasing, planning, accounting or customer service business environment.
- Working knowledge of email, internet and Microsoft Office Software.
