Job Description
Buyer 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 100 Wihuri Pkwy, Senoia, GA 30276 Winpak Films Inc. is seeking a Buyer to join their Purchasing Department based out of Senoia, GA on a full-time onsite schedule . In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, capital equipment, and services. Your contributions will directly support production operations, inventory management, and vendor relationships, helping Winpak maintain operational excellence and meet customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:
Procure raw materials based on MRP data while maintaining inventory at optimal levels. Purchase outsourced and resale materials, including subcontracted goods and services. Support purchases of MRO supplies and consumables across manufacturing operations. Collaborate with R D on new product development and sourcing needs. Assist with capital purchases through Project Authorization Requests and requisitions. Work with corporate purchasing to negotiate supplier agreements and ensure compliance. Communicate inventory needs and forecasts to suppliers and production teams. Expedite and track deliveries; manage supplier issues and corrective action claims (SCAR). Provide training to new purchasing staff and contribute to SOP creation and improvement. Generate reports and support departmental goals in line with ISO and SQF standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business or equivalent experience. 3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, including order entry and inventory control. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. High computer literacy, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in packaging procurement or the plastics/film industry. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and
SQF 2000
standards. Experience with vendor onboarding and supply chain analytics. Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
Additional Details:
This position is full-time onsite , Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime required to support urgent procurement or vendor activities. Travel is minimal to none for this role. Why Winpak?
