This position supports development specification and contractual documents with suppliers for goods and services; manages documentation and timing of release and receipt of solicitations in compliance with polices. Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at Morehouse College. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree with up to one (1) one of year experience or an Associate’s degree with 2-3 years of experience. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Essential Duties/Responsiblities Identify targeted commodities and the develop of best-in-class pricing agreements to leverage the institution’s procurement related resources, technologies and buying power, working in collaboration with the Chief Procurement Officer. This role is responsible for developing and delivering procurement training in both virtual and in-person formats to ensure stakeholders understand procurement policies, procedures, and best practices. Act as a resource to departments by advising, counseling, and resolving problems in matters such as contracts and purchasing procedures. Assist the Chief Procurement Officer in performing data and spend analytics. Assist in data collection to include spend data, supplier information, and identification of specific purchase requirements necessary for the RFP/RFQ process. Assist in the identification and management of ongoing advisory teams for sourcing related projects. Assist with review and routing of campus contracts. Support the development of new contract rollout strategies, communication, and client relationships. Identify and interact with qualified suppliers for specific commodity projects. Assist in the management of formal commodity bidding project(s) to include the use of reverse auctions for automated bidding events. Assist in the evaluation of supplier proposals, coordinate follow-up meetings and potential supplier site visits. Facilitate the evaluation of contract supplier performance against the respective agreement(s) through surveys and department interaction, and additional evaluation methods. Participate in the measuring and tracking of supplier performance within each spend category by tracking annual goals versus actual savings and budget impact for the portfolio of assigned commodities and communicate performance; manage the development of data dashboards. Participate in the preparation of a variety of reports, analysis, and summaries. Present report findings, verbally and in writing, to requesting departments. Ensure compliance with Institution’s policies and granting agency rules that pertain to procurement procedures to minimize institution liability. As part of any overall analysis, evaluate and report opportunities for consolidation of vendor spend to create strategic business partnerships that can be executed through the Jaggaer/Tiger Express portal to maximize service and flexibility to end-users.
