Description Our client, a real estate developer, is looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Purchasing Agent to join their team in Atlanta, GA. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will work alongside four other agents to support the purchasing process, ensuring that materials and services are sourced effectively and economically to meet project timelines and budgets. Because they are a smaller, privately held company, you will have more variety in your day allowing for additional opportunities for career development. Purchasing Agent (buying/purchasing/procurement exp. req.) Responsibilities Evaluate suppliers, goods, and services for project needs Identify and maintain a network of quality suppliers and trade partners Organize the purchasing process and issue purchase orders (POs) Review costs and sales prices to ensure competitive positioning and margin goals Complete lot starts and validate unit costs before release Maintain and monitor project budgets for accuracy Input direct costs into the budgeting system and report changes Request proposals, negotiate contracts, and obtain favorable pricing and terms Process purchase orders efficiently to meet project timelines Maintain detailed records of transactions, orders, receipts, and payments. Partner with the Construction Manager to align materials and labor Prepare thorough direct cost analyses and variance reports for analysis Purchasing Agent (buying/purchasing/procurement exp. req.)
