Job Description

QUIKRETE, a leading producer of packaged products, is seeking a full-time Purchasing Specialist, as part of our Engineering team , at our office in Johns Creek, GA. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be on-site carrying out the purchasing processes necessary to provide the proper goods and services, as required by operations, on a timely, competitive, and cost-effective basis. Collaborate with other departments to gather requisition details and convert them into purchase orders.

Main Responsibilities:

Accurately input purchase-related data into the procurement system. Efficiently process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as equipment, tools, parts, and supplies Provide updates on purchase order and invoice status to internal stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive records of purchasing transactions, ensuring compliance with retention policies. Manage and record all inbound and outbound shipments. Ensure inventory levels of all items purchased are in accordance with established purchasing practices. Prepare and execute purchasing plans Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

4 year degree in Business / Supply Chain Management is preferred. 2+ years of experience in Purchasing / Supply Chain position is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a must. Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure Ability to manage multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines Ability to develop key supplier relationships Ability to plan and coordinate the procurement, scheduling, storage, and inventory control Must have strong analytical problem-solving skills. Must have good communication skills and work well with colleagues.
