Role:
The Retail Sourcing Specialist I is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with over 600 retail partners to acquire food and resources that can be distributed to the community in support of the Food Bank’s mission. The Retail Sourcing Specialist also looks for opportunities to increase retail donations while strengthening existing donors and agency relationships with over 190 agencies.

Build and Sustain Relationships:
Ability to solicit and onboard new donor relations Maintain, and strengthen existing relationships while troubleshooting and problem-solving complex situations Investigate, mitigate, and resolve issues that may arise between retailers and partner agencies Perform quarterly contact (phone, email, visits) with retailers and retail agencies within assigned regions and provide documentation of visits Immediate attention must be provided to all calls and emails from retailers and partner agencies as the rescue of food and customer service are our top priority Maximum donations through educating retailers’ staff on donations and food recovery programs while maintaining both company standards
Data and Administration:
Create, review, and distribute reports and maintain existing data spreadsheets, charts, and graphs, with an action plan where applicable Utilize donation data to determine a retailers donation pattern and contact retailer and or agency if there is a change in the pattern Communicate monthly data analysis with retailers and agencies to better grow the donations. Training Onboard and train new retail partners on ACFB policies and procedures Onboard and train retail agencies on various policies, procedures, and reporting platforms Conduct annual training and policy updates, to include an overview of the retail MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) and Program Manual to ensure adherence and compliance. Reinforce that retailers and agencies adhere to food safety standards Participate in Feeding America and other conference calls and trainings as needed Logistics Collaborate with various Retailers and Partner Agencies to ensure timely donation pick ups Work with Network Growth and Compliance Teams to determine which agencies are appropriate for participation in the Supplemental Retail Donation Program based on proximity to retailer, agency capacity and distribution schedules Collaborate with various retailers and partner agencies to ensure timely donation pick up schedule
