Job Description:
Purchasing Specialist
- Position available in Dalton, GA.
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies based on sales forecasts, stock levels, and production needs to optimize inventory management and reduce costs.
- Track the progress of purchase orders (PO) from creation to delivery and manage purchase requisitions (PR), goods receipt (GR), and payment closing in QPS and SAP systems.
- Analyze price proposals, supplier performance data, and market trends to ensure cost-effective procurement and maintain accurate purchasing records.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and adherence to quality and delivery standards.
- Monitor supplier performance regarding lead time, reliability, and flexibility, and address issues through intensive management when necessary.
- Propose and implement optimized logistic solutions for domestic and international transport to minimize supply chain expenses.
- Prepare monthly and annual reports on key performance indicators, expenditures, and cost-saving initiatives in line with business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Planning, Logistics, and Finance, to align purchasing tasks with operational and production requirements, etc.
