Buyer Position Available In Lincoln, Louisiana

The Buyer position is a 6-month contract position working on-site for our Specialty Chemical Client located in The Woodlands, TX.We are seekinga detail-oriented and resourcefulBuyerto join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring materials, goods, and services essential to the operations of our organization. This includes sourcing raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising. The ideal candidate will have experience with purchasing systems and strong communication skills to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process purchase requisitions for a variety of goods and services
• Communicate with vendors to obtain product and service details such as pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
• Evaluate and select products through testing, observation, or examination
• Create and manage purchase orders using SAP
• Expedite and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and priorities.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of SAP transactional processes
• Experience in creating and managing purchase orders
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
