Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Buyer to support our procurement operations within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on sourcing components, materials, and services for functional test equipment and related systems. Key Responsibilities:

Assist in sourcing and procuring electronic components, mechanical parts, and manufacturing supplies. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications. Issue and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and maintain accurate procurement records. Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, resolve discrepancies, and manage lead times. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics. Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement in the procurement process. Maintain ERP system data integrity, including pricing, part numbers, and supplier information.

Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is a plus. 0-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with electronic and mechanical components is a plus. Proficiency in Excel & other Microsoft Office suites; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) is preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Preferred Skills:

Understanding of bill of materials (BOMs) and technical drawings. Exposure to ISO or other quality management systems. Basic knowledge of supply chain principles and lean manufacturing practices.
