Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement activities such as sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations for key categories, including digital technology services, corporate offerings, and occasional organizational goods. This position offers the opportunity to drive procurement excellence and collaborate closely with stakeholders to optimize processes and achieve cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories, such as digital technology services, corporate services, and organizational goods.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts while ensuring alignment with legal, privacy, IT, and finance requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and enhanced value.
  • Manage procurement transactions, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, change orders, and supplier records.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Provide thought leadership to stakeholders and suppliers to maximize business impact.
  • Analyze procurement data and generate reports to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures across all transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to foster long-term partnerships. Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in processing transactions within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; Workday Procure-to-Pay experience preferred.
  • Strong skills in contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and manage high volumes of requests.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Knowledge of purchasing processes, requisitions, and purchase orders.
