Waltham, MA As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our client’s strategic procurement operations. You will work closely with the Category Manager to deliver category strategies, lead commercial negotiations, and manage suppliers. This role is crucial for procuring high-value, business-critical goods and services, and you will be engaging at senior levels of the organization to ensure the delivery of business priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
Partner with the Category Manager in the delivery of Category strategies
Lead commercial negotiations and draft contracts
Engage and manage suppliers
Procure equipment and services in support of our client’s Business Units
Develop commercial strategies, source, and contract the goods and services required to meet business needs
Contribute to an effective forward planning process by identifying future requirements and ensuring robust forecasting
Skills Required:
Degree or equivalent experience
Significant experience of strategic sourcing and category management
Understanding of project management principles
Ability to prepare for and lead negotiations
Ability to build and manage complex commercial assessment models
Experience of contract development, including the ability to make recommendations and amendments to existing contracts as well as drafting new ones
