Responsibilities:

Place purchase orders to fulfill customer requirements Sourcing management by identifying and evaluating potential business partners Using ERP software to track production progress Negotiate prices for raw materials such as steel, bronze and aluminum Maintain appropriate inventory levels and working with warehouse to maintain stocking/inventory Using Microsoft Excel for inventory Raise profits through high quality and cost-effective purchases. Expedite purchase orders. Maintain production schedules for product lines, meeting demands and cost control Contacting suppliers as needed to resolve any issues Maintain competitive product pricing by negotiating merchandise costs, researching suppliers to provide products, and comparing costs. Resolve pricing discrepancies with vendors Follow up on delivery and quality issues.

Qualifications:

Previous purchasing experience in manufacturing environment (CNC shop and sheet metal) Experience with ERP systems Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel Ability to work within a team environment and independently Good verbal and written communication skills Hours are Monday through Friday – first shift The pay is up to $85K a year based on experience
