Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced a buyer to join a site sanitation services company for a 100% remote role. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to vendor management, purchasing strategies, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to optimizing procurement processes.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and evaluate due diligence information from newly approved vendors to ensure compliance with regional standards.
- Verify and confirm two-way receipts for goods and services, ensuring all deliveries meet required specifications.
- Assess procurement processes to identify areas for efficiency improvements, cost savings, and enhanced compliance.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to drive supplier performance and address any arising issues.
- Monitor adherence to procurement regulations and organizational policies, while preparing reports to measure performance metrics.
- Collaborate with departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to align procurement strategies with broader company goals.
- Place and oversee purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery in alignment with procurement guidelines.
- Review and approve the receipt of goods and services, ensuring proper reconciliation of invoices and delivered items.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support procurement operations. Requirements
- Proficiency in procurement tools such as Concur for managing transactions and workflows.
- Solid experience in purchasing processes, including issuing and managing purchase orders.
- Strong background in vendor management and procurement compliance.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas for data analysis.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze procurement data and recommend process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
