Procurement Specialist at Adecco US, Inc. in North Berwick, Maine, United States Job Description Procurement Specialist Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for a Procurement Specialist job. This is a temp to hire opportunity in North Berwick, ME. This position requires candidates to have excellent customer service skills, one year of procurement experience and computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office and Outlook. Professionalism is a must. Candidates will answer internal calls from clients and call vendors, handle invoice resolution, and place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders. Responsibilities for a Procurement Specialist include but are not limited to: + Perform procurement activities to ensure the customer’s current and anticipated demand for products and materials are met and in alignment with the client’s purchasing strategies. + Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders. + Monitor the quality and timeliness of products and materials supplied; may coordinate the return of damaged goods and/or replacement items. + Follow-up on the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery; and communicate status of orders with customers. + Maintain and cultivate relationships with one or more suppliers, vendors, and assigned customers. Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered: + High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Finance, etc.) preferred. + 1+ year of experience in the field of Procurement preferred . CPM certification preferred. + Excellent customer service. + Computer skills and aptitude to learn the various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Inventory Management applications. + Mathematical aptitude for basic calculations. + Proficiency with MS-Office products.
