Job Description
Purchasing Agent Edelbrock Group 8649 Hacks Cross Road, Olive Branch, MS 38654 Edelbrock has been an iconic name in the performance aftermarket for nearly 90 years. Products are designed, engineered and tested using the latest manufacturing processes at facilities across the United States to ensure premier performance. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services essential for a company’s operations. This includes identifying suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
Responsibilities:
Manage the assigned vendor portfolio ensuring transparency of spending. Issues purchase orders to authorized vendors. Resolves quality issues with vendors. Manages inventory levels within assigned portfolio. Ensuring product data is held to exacting company/industry standards in MRP system. Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure. Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency. Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques. Must effectively organize and prioritize daily workflow and monitor performance standards to maximize efficiency of operations. Planning and maintaining accurate inventory levels and control to assure 100% customer service levels while minimizing the corporation’s financial exposure. Analyze inventory and resolve discrepancies. Quoting, purchasing, and ordering of raw materials, components. Interacting with key suppliers and cross functional in-house teams
Experience/Skills Required:
One to five (5) years related sourcing experience or a four-year degree in Supply Chain Management. Strong proficiency with MRP software platforms. Purchasing experience in Oracle preferred. Experience in automotive work environment preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills to establish priorities identify and set goals, meet deadlines, etc. Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions.
