General Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Development Director, the Procurement & Events Coordinator manages the Administrative Supply Chain and implementation and execution of all on-campus agency-related events Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, and on and off-campus Development events.

Essential Functions:

Coordinates employee related events as assigned by the Development Director or designee. Contact donors and solicit Christmas gifts. Responsible for logistics—receiving, organizing and labeling all annual gifts from donors. Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expending orders within budget for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Development Director.

Knowledge & Experience:

Must be twenty-one (21) years of age High School Diploma; associates preferred. Must have 3-5 years of experience managing central supply and/or inventory Experience with event planning/setup/takedown a plus

Skills/Working Conditions:

Must maintain valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record. Must be insurable by Methodist Children’s Homes insurance carrier. Must successfully complete all phases of pre-service and on-going training, including but not limited to, physical restraint training, First Aid, CPR, Universal Precautions, and medication administration. Must have a working knowledge of office equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task with a high attention to detail. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must be able to conduct themselves with patience and a high level of professionalism.

Physical Requirements:

Must provide a negative drug screen result prior to employment. Must pass a pre-employment physical and TB test and on-going physical assessments as required Have the ability to demonstrate organizational, management, and leadership skills. Have the ability to generate multiple solutions to meet the changing needs of clients, staff, and communities. Have the ability to communicate professionally, in both verbal and written formats, with consumers, including, but not limited to parents, supervisees, colleagues, and community service providers. Have the ability to participate in recreational activities with clients, including, but not limited arts, athletics, and outdoor activities. Lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds at a time, without assistance. Regular attendance at primary worksite and agency related events.
