Job Description

Strategic Sourcing Specialist 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Madison, MS We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead sourcing initiatives that drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and support long-term business objectives. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts across a range of categories including direct and indirect materials, services, and capital equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with company goals and supply chain objectives. Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Lead

RFI/RFQ/RFP

processes, analyze bids, and conduct supplier negotiations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance to define requirements and ensure alignment. Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed. Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply risks to inform sourcing decisions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supplier management and procurement processes. Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier performance metrics. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations (e.g., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR if applicable).

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 3-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, C.P.M., CSCP). Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or high-tech industries. Familiarity with government contracting and compliance requirements. Fluency in a second language (e.g., German, Mandarin) is a plus.
