Purchasing Specialist Job Description As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with vendors to secure the most competitive pricing, writing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of parts. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure seamless procurement processes. Responsibilities Collaborate with vendors to secure the best pricing available. Write purchase orders using the YES PO system. Ensure on-time delivery of parts. Work closely with project management to procure necessary parts. Obtain quotes from multiple vendors. Collaborate with production leadership to close procurement gaps. Provide weekly updates on part procurement. Essential Skills Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, and buying. Proficiency in writing purchase orders and planning. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Advanced problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work with a sense of urgency and provide superior customer service. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment. High school diploma or equivalent, or a degree from a four-year college or university. Related equivalent experience is preferred. Work Environment This role is based in an office environment within a manufacturing company, providing a dynamic and collaborative setting to enhance productivity and efficiency. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 – $75000.00/yr.
