Job Title:

Buyer Job Description The Buyer is accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by purchasing and negotiating primarily non-manufacturing routine materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. The role requires strong functional knowledge of SAP procurement processes and the ability to work effectively within an ERP system to ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions. The position also demands superior leadership behaviors aligned with the company’s core competencies and non-negotiables. Responsibilities Examine, select, and process approved requisitions within the SAP ERP system. Execute purchase orders and monitor order progress using SAP MM (Materials Management) functionality. Process phone, fax, or web-based orders. Confirm payment terms with suppliers and manage special conditions such as prepayments or wire transfers as needed. Update SAP purchase orders with supplier confirmations and proactively notify end users of any delays or discrepancies. Scan and attach supplier confirmations and supporting documents to purchase orders in SAP. Utilize SAP reporting tools to monitor open purchase orders and follow up on overdue deliveries. Prioritize workload efficiently to support procurement needs across multiple departments and sites. Clearly communicate all expectations to suppliers, including part numbers, pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms. Complete supplier credit applications when required. Address and resolve order issues in collaboration with end users. Support Buyer II and Senior Buyer with data entry and maintenance of inventory materials in SAP. Escalate issues or concerns to the Purchasing Manager as appropriate. Perform credit card reconciliation. Ensure timely completion and compliance with cGMP requirements and all other relevant company training. Essential Skills Associate’s Degree with 0 – 2+ years of related experience; OR High School diploma with 4+ years of related experience. SAP Experience in Purchasing/Master Data. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft AX is a plus. Work Environment This is an on-site role, requiring presence at the company’s facilities.
