Major Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Adherence to the Federal Acquisition Regulions (FAR), VA Acquisition Regulions (VAAR), and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to procure all supplies, equipment, and service needs for all authorized Veterans. Use of Points to monitor Nional manded compliance and enter requests for any request exceeding the micro-threshold into the Forecast of Opportunities and Requirements Center for Excellence (FORCE) within established timelines. Documenting in Computerized Pient Record System (CPRS) professionally and appropriely. Ghering any needed informion from the prescribing body to assure the correct medical devices are procured. Creing purchase orders for requested Prosthetic devices using a government credit card. Opering specific software packages to maintain a detailed and accure accounting of all actions taken for Veterans and documents their records showing items or services provided. Interviewing veterans reporting to the service and receiving phone calls from beneficiaries. Responsible for posting stock issued equipment to pients electronic record. Ability to multitask between purchasing and providing direct customer service. Other reled duties as assigned.
Promotion Potential:

Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily sedentary when conducting purchasing functions for PSAS. However, while conducting inventory management functions, the incumbent may work comfortably in a warehouse environment, sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, retrieving and managing inventory. Prolonged periods of working a computer terminal is required. Ability to retrieve equipment from a storage room is required. Climbing associed with stocking of equipment and other items in storage areas is necessary. Incumbent may carry/lift items weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Normal safety precautions are adeque. The work involves modere discomfort when ing sites away from the office. At times the employee may be required to wear protective clothing when ing the Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Fabricion Laborory. Often, walking between the main medical center and other parts of Prosthetics to conduct professional duties.
