The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that all materials and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, supplier management, and adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with various departments to support operational needs and enhance overall efficiency.

Salary:
55,000-67,000
Responsibilities:
Material Buyer Procure goods and services necessary for operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and Federal Acquisition Regulations. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of products. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within the procurement process and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate the timely delivery of materials. Utilize SAP software for tracking orders, managing inventory levels, and reporting on procurement activities. Fabricate procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. Monitor market trends to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities. Prepare contracts and negotiate terms with suppliers to secure favorable conditions.
Qualifications:
Material Buyer Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in procurement management or supply chain management. Strong understanding of logistics processes and supplier management practices. Familiarity with SAP software is a MUST, in addition to Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
