POSITION DUTIES
Purchasing Agent/Buyer Procurement Planning:
Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand and define procurement needs for construction projects.
Market Research:
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, quality, and reliability.
Cost Analysis:
Perform cost and price analysis to ensure competitive pricing and best value for the company.
Solicitation and Quotation:
Request for Quotes (RFQs): Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers for required materials, equipment, and services.
Bid Evaluation:
Evaluate supplier quotations and bids, considering factors such as price, quality, delivery time, and supplier reputation.
Supplier Selection:
Select suppliers based on bid evaluations and negotiate terms and conditions to secure favorable agreements.
Purchase Order Management:
Order Placement:
Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) to selected suppliers, ensuring all details and specifications are clearly defined.
Order Tracking:
Monitor the status of purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any delays or issues that arise.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and related documentation.
Supplier Relations:
Supplier Communication:
Maintain effective communication with suppliers to ensure clear understanding of requirements, timely responses, and resolution of any issues.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, product quality, and adherence to contract terms. Provide feedback and address any performance issues.
Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
Inventory and Logistics:

POSITION
Requirements:
Purchasing Agent/ Buyer 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job successfully. Three (3) to five (5) years of specialized experience that equip the teammate with the competencies to perform successfully the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. Ability to operate personal computers, advanced experience with Google Workspace, specifically Google Sheets. Knowledge of procurement procedures, manufacturing principles, and distribution requirements planning and their application to supply chain management strategies. Proficiency with Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems, specifically Coins, or similar applications. Requires investigative and analytical mindset, open-minded individual willing to accept new ideas with the ability to multi-task. Requires a composed, knowledgeable and decisive individual to act immediately in accordance with the situation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong professional interpersonal skills.
