The Position Lead & undertake procurement in several majorinvestment projects. Act as sourcing expert, follow standardizedprocedures for undertaking tendering according to Good ProcurementPractices. Ensure acquisition of high-quality goods and services atthe best possible prices by negotiating & monitoring contracts &relationships with selected suppliers. Act as communication linkbetween Investment, Engineering & Sourcing (IES) and investmentprojects stakeholders, maintaining a global overview while servinglocal customers. Identify opportunities for operationalimprovements & seeks agreement through consensus management.

Relationships Manager/Director. Essential Functions Manageprocurement activities in several major projects which, among othertasks include supplier selection in agreement with our categorymanagers, executing tendering processes, bid clarification andevaluation, terms & conditions and contract preparation andnegotiations Establishes, directs, & leads cross-functional teamsin various sourcing activities to identify, select, negotiate,establish, & source preferred supplier contracts, agreements,leases, supplies & services Support and coordinate with ProjectManagers and technical specialists in order to have the mostfeasible supplier contracts and successful project execution Ensureand safeguard that all sourcing and supplier related activities areconducted in full compliance with our standards and regulationsEnsure balance between the business and project objectives inregards to triple bottom line, risk assessment and deliveries in acomplex setting Develop strategies for procurement withinInvestment Projects Drive coordination when crisis management isneeded to mitigate risks towards LoB Acts as a liaison between theline of business, appropriate internal stakeholders, & supplier toensure business objectives are met Direct partnering with Line ofBusiness to demonstrate how sourcing & procurement can help supportoverall business strategies Understands broad organizationalperspectives & delivers messages & presentation to variousstakeholders to gain consensus for strategic initiatives & ideas,in the face of complexity or disagreement Support IES’internationalization process, which includes building up capacityand knowledge with local staff on how to undertake professionalprocurement Responsible for analyzing and developing businessopportunities, procurement strategies and plans for the procurementactivities which must obtain buy-in on from relevant stakeholderson all levels within the company Always take into considerationtotal cost views are considered in major investment project andchallenge these if projects have not been viewed from a total costperspective Continuously drive identification and realization ofmaximum potential savings and other benefits Participate in thecontinuous improvement of our department’s activities tools,systems and processes Seeks out, builds, & maintains trusting &collaborative relationships & alliances with others inside &outside of the organization in ways that accomplish key businessobjectives; & helps others do the same Ensure that non-financialobjectives are also considered. E.g. Circular for Zero andResponsible Sourcing Supports the Supplier Diversity program ≺omotes the inclusion of diverse suppliers in all sourcinginitiatives Partners with other Procurement team to establishcompany-wide procurement systems, tools, processes, policies, ≺ocedures to support & lead to informed, fact-based sourcingdecisions Consider new tools, theory and methodology for optimizingworldwide processes, sourcing and/or supplier relationshipsContribute to development of the IES Supplier base Supportdepartment development activities and colleagues by sharing betterpractices Support the motivation in the department with a positive,dynamic, innovative and cooperative mindset Follow all safety &environmental requirements in the performance of duties Otheraccountabilities as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to workin an open office environment with the possibility of frequentdistraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can changeon a case-by-case basis based on the role.) QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, Finance,Procurement, Accounting, Purchasing or similar field from anaccredited university required Minimum of ten (10) years ofsubstantial work experience as responsible for procurement orproject management in large capital investment projects required(pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred) Procurement managementresponsibilities from several positions in North America andinternationally preferred Demonstrated leadership qualities withthe ability to act as project lead in the development &implementation of projects, processes, & programs preferred Provenknowledge of strategic good procurement / engineering practices andtheir application to the purchase of equipment and servicesrequired Experience with development of procurement tools andtemplates and ability to develop strategies within technicalprocurement preferred Extensive successful track record anddocumented skills in overcoming various unforeseen and difficultiesin complex project preferred Experience in driving teams towardsspecific goals and defining new objectives for constant improvementof business procedures preferred Able to act as consultant forinternal groups and management and use the right personal approachin order to handle suppliers successfully preferred Excellentverbal, written communication, and presentation skills requiredAbility to develop strategic sourcing advice & sourcing plans basedon supply & demand dynamics combined with business requirementsrequired Able to challenge specific projects and developalternative solutions required Extensive analytical skills and asignificant practical experience in analyzing complex numbers andissues preferred Building and maintaining good workingrelationships is vital to this role, and the ideal candidatepossesses excellent people skills as well as a profoundunderstanding of quality, time and stakeholder management preferredSolid project management skills, including ability to planprojects, drive problem solving, develop business plans and managea project team preferred Ability to plan, coordinate & prioritizeactivities to ensure optimal use of resources in the departmentrequired Ability to develop & manage action plans to achievetargets & handle multiple tasks simultaneously required We committo an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity forall our job applicants.
