Monday to friday Pay rate: $28 to 31/hr About the Role A well-established manufacturing company in Charlotte, NC is seeking a highly organized and proactive Purchasing/Buyer to support its growing operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining the efficiency of the supply chain by ensuring that all necessary materials, components, and services are sourced on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, components, and services to support production and operations. Monitor and manage inventory levels in coordination with warehouse and production teams. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply and quality. Track purchase orders, deliveries, and invoices; resolve issues related to delays or discrepancies. Analyze supplier performance and participate in supplier audits and evaluations. Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to forecast demand and align procurement activities. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process.

Qualifications Education:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

3+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Software:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or procurement systems is a plus.

Certifications:

Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), APICS, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
