About this role Carrier HVAC in North America has an opportunity for a Junior Procurement Specialist to join our team. The Junior Procurement Specialist will be working onsite out of the Charlotte NC location . Key Responsibilities Develop supplier relationships for open communication channels Own and manage suppliers’ relationship and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (i.e. on-time delivery, past due purchase order) to ensure smooth site operations Execute request for proposals, to ensure procurement of emergency materials or the site Collaborate with global commodity team/leaders to develop category strategies Respond and resolve factory and supplier issues or problems Manage and process Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s) Reconcile invoices (i.e. approved payments, resolve invoice discrepancies) Monitor and analyze contract performance to ensure contractual obligations compliance Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 3+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or finance Driven employee with desire to grow in career Strong analytical thinker Listen and learn attentively to apply new knowledge effectively English verbal oral and written communication Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel Additional information: This position doesn’t support immigration sponsorship RSRCAR #LI-onsite Carrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
