Procurement Specialist 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Charlotte, NC 28215 We are looking for a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee procurement processes, ensure efficient inventory management, and support mail and print services. Ideal candidates will have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Process purchase requisitions, secure competitive pricing, and create purchase orders for approval while tracking order statuses and resolving any discrepancies. Conduct routine inventory counts, reconcile records, and maintain optimal inventory levels by managing par levels and replenishing supplies as needed. Inspect, receive, and organize materials, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to quality standards. Evaluate incoming materials for compliance with specifications and implement quality control measures. Accurately input and maintain inventory data within management systems. Assist with mail services, including deliveries and processing print shop requests for production and distribution. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, supply shortages, and quality issues. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, reporting hazards and ensuring the security of mail and related materials. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement operations. Proven experience in procurement processes and inventory management. Strong knowledge of vendor negotiation and relationship management. Familiarity with budget processes and invoice handling. Ability to manage multiple vendors and maintain vendor files effectively. Proficiency in corporate procurement policies and strategies. Skilled in internal communications and control reviews. Experience with inventory systems, including annual physical inventory and asset tracking. Competency in using tools such as Dynamics or Orbits for procurement and inventory management.
