We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support our fast-growing energy storage division. In this role, you’ll play a key part in sourcing critical components and managing supplier relationships to ensure our projects are delivered on time and on budget. Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist – Energy Storage plays a critical role in supporting Voltage’s battery energy storage system (BESS) projects by ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services. This position requires deep coordination with engineering, project management, and logistics teams to meet aggressive project timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with energy storage technologies, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to managing supplier relationships.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Source and procure BESS-related equipment and components, including batteries, inverters, switchgear, enclosures, and cabling. Evaluate supplier capabilities and manage performance to ensure delivery timelines, cost control, and technical compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement plans with engineering designs, project schedules, and installation milestones. Negotiate vendor agreements and support cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or safety. Monitor and update purchase orders in the ERP system (e.g., SAP); resolve order discrepancies and track deliveries. Maintain accurate procurement documentation and contribute to procurement planning and forecasting. Stay current on market trends, material availability, and supply chain risks impacting energy storage projects. Support supplier qualification and compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Experience/Education/Skills Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 2-4 years of procurement experience in energy storage, renewable energy, electrical construction, or a similar industry. Working knowledge of energy storage systems and electrical components. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience required (SAP preferred). Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic, project-based environment. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and fast-paced environments. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience sourcing for utility-scale or

C&I BESS

projects. Understanding of industry standards (e.g., UL9540, NFPA 855). Familiarity with international procurement and logistics.
