Purchasing Agent 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Archdale, NC 27263 We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team in Archdale, North Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring efficient procurement processes and supporting financial operations. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced accounting and ERP systems while contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

Manage procurement activities, including evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Utilize accounting software systems to track purchases and budgets effectively. Work with ERP platforms such as Epicor and Great Plains to streamline purchasing and financial processes. Handle accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate documentation and timely payments. Monitor and maintain compliance with budgetary guidelines during procurement cycles. Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and reliable service. Analyze buying processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. Assist in preparing financial reports related to purchasing activities. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and industry standards. Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. Proficiency with accounting software systems and platforms such as Epicor and Great Plains. Knowledge of ERP solutions and enterprise resource planning processes. Strong understanding of accounts payable and other accounting functions. Familiarity with budgetary processes and the ability to manage purchases within financial constraints. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
