They are looking for you, an experienced Purchasing Agent with strong vendor management skills and a background in residential construction. This is a direct hire opportunity supporting cost management and purchasing operations in a growing market.
What you get to do:
- Generate and review purchase orders and start packages for new home construction
- Cultivate new trade relationships and maintain existing vendor partnerships
- Coordinate bids for new subdivisions, plans, and options
- Review and resolve vendor disputes and pricing discrepancies
- Analyze base and option pricing for new communities
- Manage contract documents and support KOVA system updates
- Conduct re-bids, manage cost updates, and support ongoing purchasing initiatives
What you need to succeed: - Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in residential construction
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of scopes-of-work, bid analysis, and contract management
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Previous experience with KOVA preferred, but not required
