Purchasing Agent / Analyst HireRPA Cary, NC 27512 Job Summary A detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Agent is being sought to join a rapidly growing home-builder. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring construction goods and services that meet the organization’s needs while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an understanding of supply chain management, and proficiency in relevant purchasing systems. Responsibilities Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to establish vendor relationships that align with company goals. Conduct sourcing activities for construction materials & trade services, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the organization. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate the timely delivery of goods and manage inventory levels effectively. Utilize purchasing systems to track orders, manage supplier information, and analyze purchasing data. Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions. Prepare reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis and supplier evaluations. Work closely with internal design & sales departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide support in product selection. Requirements Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management in a construction environment is essential. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and logistics processes is a plus.
