Job Summary:
The Cost Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all costing activities for new business and engineering design changes for finance review in a fast-paced fibers & metals Tier-1 automotive manufacturing operation
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead all manufacturing costing studies related to new business activities or engineering design changes on existing / new production parts. Utilize internal systems to properly receive RFQ’s for quote, create latest level cost cards, communicate cost card details with team members, and properly upload and release cost cards in Campfire system for release / rejection. Gather and analyze all necessary information from Sales, Apps Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Tooling Engineering, Purchasing, Program launch, Quality, PC&L, Feasibility team, and Finance to develop cost estimates Chair regularly scheduled cross functional meetings Manage and maintain timelines / priorities Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop cost structure for finance review for each opportunity Collaborate with multiple departments within Lydech, such as Applications, Engineering, Tooling, Purchasing, Project Management Team, and Finance Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a
Candidate:
College Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Accounting, or Business Strong computer literacy to include Microsoft Office products, including MS Excel – Advanced level Excel Must be able to read, write and understand English Must be detailed oriented, ability to multi-task Must have good communication skills and be able to interact professionally with multiple levels of the organization
Additional Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
One or more years’ of previous cost estimating experience One or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably experience in Automotive and/or Automotive supply One or more years’ experience participating in manufacturing or engineering launch/feasibility processes
