The Opportunity Our client is a local multigenerational equipment manufacturingcompany and has hired us to seek out a Buyer for their Hanover, PAlocation. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and isresponsible for purchasing raw materials, products, and services insupport of production while working closely with cross-functionalteams in a fast-paced environment.

Other responsibilities include:

Managing the purchasing cycle, including requisitions, purchaseorders, delivery tracking, and payment of direct and indirectmaterials Analyzing material demand through MRP and other methods to maintainappropriate inventory levels and prevent manufacturingstock-outs Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, includinggathering performance metrics and identifying supply base risks Securing competitive pricing, identifying cost savingsopportunities, and leading cost savings initiatives from RFQthrough implementation Qualifications include: High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, buying, and/orrelated field preferred Manufacturing experience and understanding of supply chainmanagement preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and experience with ERPsystems such as Epicor or SAP Strong problem-solving skills with ability to meet deadlines whilemanaging multiple projects and tasks Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with allinternal and external stakeholders Check out our website at www.availasearch.com!
