The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues that may arise Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful purchasing decisions Collaborate with internal teams to understand their procurement needs and requirements Utilize SAP or similar software for procurement activities Implement category management strategies to optimize procurement processes Oversee contract management activities and ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Perform root cause analysis on procurement-related issues Experience Proven experience in procurement, materials management, and production planning Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable prices and terms Knowledge of SAP or similar procurement software Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Ability to fabricate effective procurement strategies based on market analysis
