Procurement Assistant The Healthcare Construction Group Township of Brick, NJ 08724 Job Summary The Procurement Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the procurement department by managing purchasing activities, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to optimize supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of procurement processes. Duties Assist in the procurement process by sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for materials and services. Manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing and quantities. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate timely deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings. Support the negotiation of pricing agreements with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions. Monitor supplier performance and assist in maintaining positive relationships. Skills Proficiency in supply chain management principles and practices. Strong analytical skills for evaluating supplier quotes and pricing structures. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing inventory records. Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal departments. Knowledge of logistics processes to ensure seamless material flow. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks. This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency within the procurement department, contributing significantly to the overall success of the organization.
