Purchasing Agent Position Available In Monroe, New York

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team in Penfield, New York. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to procurement operations and help ensure efficient purchasing processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
• Manage accounts payable processes and verify accuracy of payment transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement efforts with budgetary goals.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong relationships to secure favorable terms.
• Implement effective buying strategies to optimize cost savings and meet organizational needs.
• Analyze purchasing data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
• Assist with inventory management and maintain accurate records of purchases.
• Provide support for accounting functions related to purchasing operations. Requirements
• Experience with accounts payable processes and budget management.
• Familiarity with purchasing and buying strategies in a corporate setting.
• Ability to analyze data and develop insights for process improvements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
