) Responsibilities The selected candidates will perform several of the following contracts/procurement related functions: Prepare contracts in accordance with MTA procurement practices. Develop, solicit, negotiate, and award contracts through the Bid process and the Request for Proposal process, and prepare related documents and analyses. Prepare and negotiate supplementary agreements such as modifications/task orders/change orders covering changes to scopes of work, pricing and/or fee schedules, and contract closeout. Collect, analyze, and report data. Formulate bid submission requirements, bid evaluations, and review vendor qualifications. Conduct market surveys and qualification hearings. Purchase goods and services using Informal quotes. Prepare cost and price analyses of proposals; formulate negotiation positions; negotiate price for various procurement actions and prepare communications and written narratives summarizing negotiations and their results. Education and Experience 1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and two (2) years of satisfactory, full-time experience in a customer service or public information capacity; or 2. An associate degree from an accredited college and three (3) years of satisfactory, full-time experience in a customer service or public information capacity; or 3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four (4) years of satisfactory, full-time experience in a customer service or public information capacity; or 4. Education and/or experience equivalent to “1”, “2”, or “3” above.

Special Note:

To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements, one additional year of professional experience as described in “2” above.
