Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Food Equipment Buyer. They will be responsible for purchasing food equipment and restaurant supplies, contract negotiations, and vendor sourcing. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Focus:

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for machinery, tools, and equipment that meet thepany’s quality standards and budget requirements.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, prices, and delivery schedules to ensure the best value.
Continuously monitor market trends, supplier landscapes, and new technologies to rmend innovative purchasing strategies.
Develop cost-saving initiatives, including bulk purchasing and long-term contracts, while maintaining product quality.
Work closely with the production and inventory teams to forecast equipment needs and manage stock levels effectively.
Ensure all purchasesply withpany policies and industry regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchasing records.
Address and resolve any issues with suppliers regarding delays, quality, or other concerns to minimize impact on production.

Skill Set:

3+ years’ experience purchasing (ideal).
2 + years of experience purchasingmercial grade kitchen appliances and/or restaurants equipment (ideal)
Experience with annual spends over $25MM.
Contract negotiation experience.
Experience working directly with suppliers.
Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities, with a data-driven decision-making approach and solid Excel proficiency.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptionalmunication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritizepeting demands effectively.
