Purchasing Coordinator L&S Plastics Inc 1120 Oak Hill Road, Mountain Top, PA 18707

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and develop suppliers of waste PET materials across major recycling yards on the U.S. East Coast; Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and consistent supply of raw materials; Monitor market trends and negotiate purchasing prices to optimize cost and protect company interests; Track and manage purchase orders, logistics, and warehouse schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods; Coordinate internal quality inspection processes and handle returns, rejections, or claims if quality issues arise; Address customer feedback, assist with after-sales matters, and support internal teams in implementing continuous improvements.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in the waste PET or plastic recycling industry is highly preferred; Minimum 1 year of experience in plastic trading or procurement is a strong asset; Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage supplier relationships independently; Willingness to travel frequently; familiarity with recycling yards across the East Coast is a plus;

Work Process Overview:

1. Purchasing Management Actively expand the supplier base to strengthen and diversify the company’s supply chain; All purchase prices must be confirmed by the Sales and Purchase team prior to issuing purchase orders. 2. Goods Inspection & Coordination Monitor transportation and ensure goods are delivered to the warehouse on schedule; Upon arrival, goods will be inspected by the company. In case of quality discrepancies, the purchasing specialist will assist in managing returns or claims; Final net weight will be confirmed within two weeks after receipt. 3. Customer Service & Support Assist in handling customer feedback related to quality issues, delivery delays, or other concerns; Work closely with internal departments to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
