Position Summary:
The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate records of inventory and tracking shipments and finished lots. This position reports directly to the Plant Scheduler & Buyer and requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual.
Job Responsibilities:
Control and track raw material inventory for two locations. Log and track finished good lots and raw material shipments. Verify and enter inventory-related Accounts Receivable and Payable information. Complete inventory process audit and daily paperwork audit. Resolve discrepancies.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills. Ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service. Positive attitude and collaborative approach to working in a team environment.
Education & Experience:
Associate’s Degree preferred. Previous inventory control experience. Experience working in BusinessWorks and TraceGains preferred.
Work Environment:
Exposure to both the office setting and food manufacturing facility . Significant amount of time working at a computer station Occasional visits to various areas of the manufacturing floor Must wear required PPE while in all manufacturing areas. Moving parts and machinery are present in the plant.
Physical demands:
Frequent sitting, standing, or walking. Occasional ability to lift up to 20lbs. Noise levels will vary, higher noise levels exist while in the plant operations areas.
