The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Senior Buyer for high voltage equipment in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of essential materials. How You’ll Make an Impact
Develop and implement material planning strategies using SAP MRP functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Negotiate favorable terms and conditions using SAP data.
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations.
Analyze market trends to anticipate cost fluctuations.
Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience as a buyer in the high voltage equipment or related industry.
Strong knowledge and experience with SAP or other MRP functionality.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
